I know I haven't posted in several months. Things just kind of got a little crazy around here, and I put the blog on the back burner. I am currently still pregnant (6 days past my due date today), and we are getting very ansy about the arrival of this new little one. Fortunately, everything looks great with both he and me, so the doctor is willing to let me wait it out a little longer before offically kicking him out. I went to the doctor last Wednesday, and according to the ultrasound he was 8 pounds and 9 ounces. Babies at this stage gain about a half a pound a week, so I'm looking at delivering a 9 pound baby here soon! I'm not going to lie, that's pretty intimidating. I keep telling myself that my body wouldn't create something that I couldn't handle, and God gives me the tools I need to survive everyday. Here's a picture from Monday. I was 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant:

We had such a fun family day that day. It was MLK day so Chris and I were both off, and Lily's daycare was closed so we all spent the day together. We've been trying really hard to enjoy this time with just the three of us, because we know everything will be changing soon once we add little man to the mix.
Chris is doing well. He's working like crazy so he's prepared to take some time off once little man gets here to help with him and Lily. I think he's starting to get really nervous about becoming a daddy of two, but I know he's going to be great at it. He's so wonderful with Lily and she loves him so much! She's definately a daddy's girl, which I can totally relate to. It looks like this time around will be easier on Chris as far as trying to balance work and home because he's in the middle of his season instead of trying to get things started like before. He's so funny when it comes to me going into labor. I was having some pretty good contractions the other night, and I think he ate half of our Christmas candy because he was so nervous. When we were taking my 40 week belly photos, he wanted one of a baby in his belly too, so here's his:

Lily girl is doing great! It's amazing to see how much she changes everyday. She has such a personality, and is such a mix of Chris and myself. She is little miss independent most of the time, and she will let you know in a heartbeat if you're doing something that she doesn't like. She was so much fun this Christmas because she kind of got it this year, and seemed to really enjoy opening all of her new things. (I'll try and do a Christmas post soon because there's a lot to all of that.) We can't wait to see how she'll be with her little brother. We've been trying to prepare her with baby dolls and showing her all of his things, but she's still pretty clueless. I think she's going to be a great big sister, it'll just take some getting used to. Here are some pics of our little cutie pie!

Well there's a little bit about what's been going on in our househould recently. It's currently 3:00 am. I've been awake since about 12:45 with heartburn. I've been productive though and cleaned the kitchen, finished thank you cards from an awesome shower thrown by some even more awesome coworkers, and updated here. Maybe this sweet baby boy will decide that Uncle Caleb's birthday will be a great day to be born!
